There are several ways to capture a memory: (1) Say "Hey Siri, save that" while listening, (2) Tap the save button on the player or lock screen, (3) Long-press on transcript text to select a passage, or (4) Let Margin automatically detect when you rewind or slow down and offer to save that moment.

All your data is stored locally on your device. Memories, transcripts, AI-generated insights, and review progress never leave your phone. If you enable iCloud sync (optional), your data is encrypted and synced through Apple's secure iCloud infrastructure.

Margin uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models for all AI features. This means semantic search, connection discovery, memory synthesis, and archetype analysis all happen locally on your device. No data is sent to external AI services.

Spaced repetition is a learning technique where you review information at increasing intervals. Margin uses this science-backed approach to help you actually remember what you save. Reviews are scheduled intelligently based on how well you remember each memory.

Go to Settings > Export to download your entire memory library. You'll get a file containing all your memories with their full context, transcripts, and metadata. Your data is always yours to keep.

Yes! Margin fully supports CarPlay. You can browse your library, play episodes, and save memories using the CarPlay interface or Siri voice commands while driving.

Margin supports standard podcast RSS feeds, which covers the vast majority of podcasts. Simply search for a podcast by name or paste a feed URL to subscribe.

You can manage your subscription through your Apple ID settings: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Margin, and select Cancel Subscription.
